ric-flair-wooToday is a glorious day. It is a day in which we celebrate the birthday of the 16-time World Champion Ric Flair (WOO!). The man born with a Golden Spoon. The man who taught us “to be the man you’ve gotta beat the man.” The man who’s alligator shoes cost more than your house.

Natche’ is the wrestling version of watching Die Hard or Bloodsport, he never stops being awesome. I thought that I’d do my best to celebrate the Nature Boy’s birthday by giving you 5 Ric Flair videos that exemplify why he is so awesome. WOOOOOOOO!

Nothing but Ric Flair Wooing. WOOOO!

WOOOOOOOO!

The Nature Boy strutting and going nuts with Mean Gene. WOOOO!

This video shows why Natche’ is so freaking awesome. He has the ability to go completely bat shit nuts in front of millions, all for our enjoyment. Bravo Natche’, Bravo! WOOOO!

Ric Flair’s Entrance from Great American Bash (1989)

It’s debatable what the best wrestling entrance music ever is. On my shortlist would be (in no order) Hulk Hogan’s “I am a Real American”, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels, a tie between the nWo and Degeneration-X (if we are going with a stable), and of course Ric Flair. He was the better and classier version of Ravishing Rick Rude. Both guys loved to talk about how awesome they were and how the ladies wanted to get all up on that, but everyone only believed Natche’. WOOOO!

Nothing but Ric Flair’s trademark flips over the top rope

There is more drama and theatrics in watching a Ric Flair match than there is in watching Vanderpump Rules. I guess that’s what hooked us all in. No one can do the flip over the ropes like Natche’. The WWF (I refuse to call it WWE since I stopped watching wrestling before they acquired WCW and before the World Widelife Foundation made them change their name) should retire this move like baseball did Jackie Robinson’s #42.

The best Ric Flair Quotes

Before the Rock and HBK whipped crowds into a frenzy with their mic skills there was the Nature Boy. He is the gold standard for promo videos and the mark at which all wrestlers should be measured by. From these promos we got some of the best and most quotable lines ever. Long after Ric Flair is gone people will still be saying “to be the man you have to beat the man”. Damn right!

There’s only one proper way to end an article about the Nature Boy Ric Flair. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I want to hear from you. What are your favorite Ric Flair Woo videos out there? What’s your favorite memory from his wrasslin’ days? Put your thoughts in the comments or hit me up on Twitter @BaconSports or Facebook. WOOOOOOOOO!
