Football Card of the Day: Kevin Lee New England Patriots

NFL training camps have started so I thought that I’d dig into my old football cards and see what I pulled out. Say hello to a 1994 Select Rookie Kevin Lee New England Patriots card.

Kevin Lee Patriots Card

Kevin Lee’s picture in this card definitely makes him look like a scrub. When was the last time you saw a picture of Tom Brady sitting next to the goal post like that? The back of Lee’s card says “An indoor track star with sizzling 4.4 speed, Kevin can run back kicks as well as go deep for passes”. Got it, he’s a “go deep” kind of guy similar to James Jett.

Lee only played one season with the Patriots starting two games and playing in seven. Over that time he caught 8 balls for 107 yards and had 4 yards rushing. Apparently the Patriots didn’t think that he was very good at running back kicks because he only returned one for 14 yards. Other than that there isn’t much else to the Kevin Lee story.
