Isaiah Rider Timberwolves Jersey
This Isaiah Rider jersey is impressive but it would have been elite had it been a Hawks, Lakers, or Nuggets jersey (where he spent one season each). Those are more rare than hearing Skip Bayless say something that makes sense.
JR Rider’s time in Minnesota was actually very productive from a numbers standpoint. He averaged 16, 20, and 19 points per game while shooting 81+% from the line, 44+% from the field, and averaging almost four dimes. Unfortunately for Timberwolves fans Rider’s off the court behavior was about as good as Steve Francis reaction was when he got drafted by the Vancouver Grizzlies. He only lasted three years before the Timberwolves sent him off to the Trail Blazers.
Here is a nice compilation video showing some of Rider’s highlights. He may not have been a model citizen but at times he could light up the scoreboard and dazzle the crowd with dunks.
