BSWorldCup

BSWorldCup2014 has been a great year for sports. To top off the usual awesomeness we were gifted two bonuses. First, the Winter Olympics, and now the 2014 FIFA World Cup! Considering soccer, sorry… fùtbol, is the most popular sport on the planet we would be crazy to ignore it here on BaconSports. To celebrate this month long soccer tournament we’re going to implement two new initiatives:

It's never too early to start wearing jerseys!

It’s never too early to start wearing jerseys!

1. #randomjersey – This is the same as it’s always been, but now we want to see your best soccer jerseys. See an old Argentina jersey with Diego Maradona on it? How about Cristiano Ronaldo’s jersey when he was just a young lad with Sporting Clube de Portugal? If you’re a soccer fan this is your chance to get in on the action! Send us a tweet @BaconSports or on Instagram @BaconSports with the hashtag #randomjersey, and we’ll be sure to repost it. We know you’re going to find some good ones at local soccer bars and different street festivals over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled!

2. Calling All Eurocorns! – If a Unicorn is a woman who is awesome and loves sports, then what do you call a woman who grew up in another country and became a soccer-loving unicorn? A Eurocorn! Eurocorns can really be anybody, but she has to be wearing a soccer jersey for the World Cup! Let’s see all those Eurocorns out there! Send us a tweet @BaconSports or on Instagram @BaconSports with the hashtag #eurocorn.

Have some fun with this and kick off the summer months with some awesome World Cup swag!

Ryan Mackman has more jerseys than your girlfriend has shoes, and he's not ashamed of it. If he could, he'd wear a jersey with a tie to work every day, but apparently that's "not professional." The sock game would still be strong, though.
