Dancing In The Shower: Your Life Hack To Good Vibes

dance in the shower how to have more fun

I’m an eternal optimist who is happy 99.9% of the time. I’m able to do so because I know how to have fun in virtually any situation. I thought I’d share how I do it in the event it can send some positive vibes your way and help positively change your mindset.

I love music and I’ve never run into a dance floor that didn’t immediately call my name. I certainly abide by the “dance like no one is watching” motto. When you think about it, when was the last time you didn’t have an awesome time dancing? Never.

Picture a metronome in your head that is constantly there going back and forth. For me that metronome is a little guy dancing to my favorite songs, the ones that make me feel on top of the world. All the time.

I believe that being happy and successful in life is more about conquering yourself than anything else. You have the ability to control how you feel, how you react to situations, and how you interact with others. You can choose to let something bother you, or you can choose to brush it off an instead focus on something positive and fun. The dancing metronome guy is my way of always making sure it’s positive.

If you follow me on Instagram @Rob_Cressy you’ll sometimes see I create stories in the most random of places (ex. in the grocery store.) The way I’m able to do that is because the dancing guy in my head has me happy and curious. I’m always looking to see how to have more fun in everything I do.

This also extends to ordinary daily tasks like showering. To help make the experience of showering, something I’ll do over 365 times this year, more fun I created a naked pre-shower pushups life hack (to get my swoll on) and then I follow it up by putting on some awesome music and dancing in the shower.

To me the shower is a one man dance party and I look forward to showering every day. Why? Because it’s fun and it puts me in a good mood (not to mention it’s a great place to think.)

Life is a series of individual tasks. Since we all have the ability to choose how we experience these tasks I’ve decided that I’m going to make them as fun as possible, regardless of how mundane the task may be.

When you start adding up all the tasks you do and the different ways that you have fun with them then all of a sudden your life becomes a series of fun events. I’d much rather live a life of more fun events than a life of less fun ones.

Do yourself a favor and the next time you take a shower turn on some tunes and start a one man (or woman) dance party while you are rolling around in suds. See how it makes you feel while you are doing it and then how you feel afterwards.

Hopefully that positive energy propels you to your next task and makes your day that much better.
