Last night was Derek Jeter night in baseball and with all of America watching he said farewell to Yankees Stadium in the most Jeet’s way possible. All year MLB teams and fans have been paying homage to Jeter in their own way. Well one fan paid his respect to the man who was a star both on and off the field by rocking what looks to be a Derek Jeter Pirates jersey. You remember all those amazing times when he played with the Buccos, right?
Upon closer inspection it is actually a Derek Jeter 2006 All-Star game jersey from when it was played in Pittsburgh. The jersey looks pretty spot on for a Buccos jersey so it definitely warranted a double take. With some of the creative custom jerseys we’ve seen recently a custom Derek Jeter Pirates jersey would not have shocked me. It would just be yinzers being yinzers.
