I was listening to Episode 179 of the Ask Gary Vee Show when Gary Vaynerchuk shared the mission statement of his company and it was so good that I had to write it down and share it with you.

He said, “the mission of VaynerMedia is to help clients…help them sell stuff, communicate at the best possible price, in the best possible channels, to reach the biggest possible audience, to create that business result. More importantly, lets treat each other tremendously well, and have a real community here. Because continuity is what I’m going for. Because continuity builds speed.”

Gary then goes on to give an analogy about how when an NFL offensive line plays together for an entire season or two or three they build unity and they flow together as one. Continuity breeds speed and he values speed more than anything.

This really hit home for me for several reasons.

Hearing Gary Vaynerchuk’s mission statement for VaynerMedia straight from the source in those exact words allows me to better understand how the best in the business thinks and operates. I can then use that as a template to better laser focus my mission statement and offerings so that Bacon Sports can better meet the needs of my clients.

Continuity builds speed and Gary values speed more than anything. This got me thinking about the different areas of my business and evaluating the speed at which they are growing. I’m always looking to self evaluate and if there’s ways I can get better then by all means I want to do it.

Gary Vaynerchuk is a constant staple in my digital marketing and entrepreneurial learning journey. I’ve read each of his books and listen to his podcast regularly and I recommend you do the same.
