The Dallas Cowboys, on the heels of signing Michael Sam to the practice squad, are finalizing a deal to produce a Hard Knocks style reality show called “Inside the Cowboys Shower” which will document teammates as they embark on being the first team to take an NFL regular season shower with an openly gay football player.
“I look forward to being part of history,” said Tony Romo. “One day I’ll be able to tell my kids that I was one of the first players in NFL history to shower with a gay man.”
“Being the Jackie Robinson of team showering is an honor,” proclaimed Jason Witten. “And to have cameras there to capture it all. That’s just awesome!”
Cowboys owner and GM Jerry Jones shared similar positive sediments. “We are very excited about the addition of Michael Sam to the Cowboys organization. This reality show should help assimilate him to the Cowboy way and get us one step closer to bringing America home another Super Bowl.”
The show is slated to air on ESPN in between Around the Horn and PTI.
