173: NFL Week 2 Survivor Pool Picks

Hopefully you are still alive in your survivor pool. If not then you probably didn’t listen to last week’s podcast where we gave out the Texans. Rob Cressy is joined by Tom Hamm on the Bacon Sports podcast as they talk about their NFL Week 2 Survivor Pool Picks.

NFL Week 2 is a little easier for survivor pool picks as 7 of 16 games have a spread of 5 points or more. Here are the games we are considering:

• 49ers @ Panthers -13
• Ravens -7 @ Browns
• Dolphins @ Patriots -6.5
• Buccaneers @ Cardinals -6.5
• Colts @ Broncos – 6
• Titans @ Lions -5.5
• Saints @ Giants -5

There’s one double digit spread, which once again 75% of America will be on. As we saw last week when the Seahawks squeeked out a late 4th quarter win at home versus the Dolphins, it’s not always easy. That’s why I like to be contrarian and not take the most obvious pick this early in the season.
