This gem of a football jersey is impressive for two reasons. First, it’s a Peter Warrick jersey. Warrick is more known for being an NFL bust and stealing from Dillard’s than anything that he did on the field. Next, there is no number on the back of the jersey, only on the front. That makes this jersey super rare, sort of like the Frank Thomas “no name on front” card.
What is Peter Warrick up to these days? In 2011 he signed with the Cincinnati Commandos of the Continental Indoor Football League but never played a game. I wonder if getting a job at Dillard’s is out of the question?
Despite the fact that Warrick was a turd in the NFL he was entertaining to watch in college. Here’s a highlight video of Warrick in college showing what the Bengals thought they were getting when they drafted him.
Special thanks to Marty Dieffenbach for giving us this wonderful piece of art/jersey.
