After a preseason trade in his rookie year, Steve Largent was an original member of the inaugural Seattle Seahawks team. There he remained for his 13 productive NFL seasons, followed shortly after by his number retirement ceremony and a Hall of Fame induction. When #80 retired, he held all the major NFL receiving records, including receptions, receiving yards, and receiving TDs.

Not known for his speed, the 5’11” wide-out made his living off of his unbelievably sure hands. NFL Top 10 ranked him 3rd all-time on the “Greatest Hands” episode. Largent was old school, known to reject receiving gloves in favor of bare hands. He was comfortable wearing this two-bar facemask in an era when helmet-to-helmet hits on a receiver were perfectly legal. He took his share of hits, but also gave some out. Check out this video from 1988 of Largent fulfilling a revenge fantasy on the level of Django Unchained.
