Pascual Perez, 1990 Fleer
Pascual Perez had a sweet and rare 90’s jheri curl. I wish the oddities stopped there, but they don’t. Perez was twice suspended by the MLB for breaking its drug-policy, would fire a “finger gun” at opponents after striking them out and was dubbed “Wrong Way” Perez after missing a start in 1982 after he was unable to find Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. I’ll forgive him for the last transgression though. I would rather watch “Fried Green Tomatoes” on loop then drive through Atlanta.
However, it was in death that Perez, unfortunately, left his true mark. On November 1, 2012, Perez was found dead in his Dominican bedroom after being bludgeoned to death with a hammer in an apparent robbery. I don’t know about you, but that’s not how I want to go out.
So, put a few extra spritzes of Soul-Glo on your hair today in honor of Pascual Perez and his terribly awesome baseball card.
