Terribly Awesome Baseball Card of the Day: Rodney Craig

Today, Rodney Craig brings us one of my favorite baseball cards of all-time. One look at this card and it becomes clear that Rodney, or Buckethead, as his teammates called him, loved the weed. Probably explains the .256 lifetime average.

Here’s how I like to imagine his pre-game ritual went:

        6:10 – Arrive at the ballpark three hours late.

        6:15 –  Tape (roll) both (a couple) ankles (joints).

        6:30 – Hotbox a utility closet.

        6:45 –  Head out to the field.

        6:50 – Pregame nap in bullpen.

        7:10 –  Game starts…perform poorly. 

It couldn’t have happened any other way.

So, spark a fatty and thank Rodney “Buckethead” Craig for giving us today’s Terribly Awesome Baseball Card.
