The sports birthdays for April 27 are not very plentiful. There’s ex St John’s Forward Zendon Hamilton, St Louis Cardinals pitcher Chris Carpenter, ESPN analyst and the man behind the Miracle at the Meadowlands Herman Edwards, and the Ice Man George Gervin.
