With the joy that some teams are feeling from the mercy bestowed on them by the NCAA Selection Commitee, (we’re all looking at you Middle Tennessee State University), other teams and their fans are feeling a bit snubbed. Let’s looked at the most snubbed teams’ season, and just put all this snubbed talk to rest.
1. Tennessee
Yeah, the Volunteers had a phenomonal 2nd half of the year (in spurts), but got SWEPT this season by Georgia, an under .500 team. Also, when you know you NEED to beat Alabama in the SEC (a conference that was more down than an emo kid at a Hawthorne Heights concert) tournament, and don’t, you burst your own bubble.
2. Kentucky
Tennessee beat you by 30 points last month. Just be quiet.
3. Virginia
Yeah, you beat Duke, but just because Dick Vitale has them beating the Miami Heat in the best of a 7 games series, doesn’t hold much weight. He’s nuttier than an elephant turd.
4. Maryland
You got beat by Boston College, GeorgiaTech, and got swept by Florida State this year. Case Closed.
5. Alabama
You guys lacked 2 things to state your case. 1. Nick Saban isn’t your coach. 2. Katherine Webb isn’t the point guard’s girlfriend. You had no chance.
Good luck in the NIT, guys.
