joakim noahThe past few weeks I’ve been going easy on you with the Hard Sports Trivia Questions. This week I’m sparing no one as I ratchet the difficulty up a few levels and as Goose would say, “We’re going ballistic Mav”. I would rank this week’s sports trivia questions an 8.5 out of 10 for difficulty. Who am I – NBA and NCAA basketball edition? I’ll give you a series of hints to figure out who the player is.

  1. I am the only NBA player to ever be drafted from the University of Hartford.
  2. I was taken fourth overall in the 1991 NBA draft behind Larry Johnson, Kenny Anderson, and Billy Owens. Old Spice recently did a promotional campaign with me. I wore number 55. I was once traded for Todd MacCulloch and Keith Van Horn.
  3. I was the third overall pick in the 1997 NBA draft. I have played for seven different teams. I was the 2003-04 NBA Finals MVP. My nickname is “Mr. Big Shot”.
  4. I am still playing in the NBA and have made over $156 million in my career. I played one game for the Atlanta Hawks. I am a four time All Star and have one NBA championship. I was drafted one spot ahead of Kevin Garnett in the 1995 NBA draft.
  5. I coached college basketball at Marquette, St. Louis, Utah, and Ball State.
  6. I coached the Pittsburgh Panthers before Jamie Dixon.
  7. I was on the cover of Sports Illustrated before I played a single college basketball game. I went to St John’s and hold the record for most three pointers made in a single season and career.
  8. I am the George Washington all time leader in blocked shots. I played under Mike Jarvis and led the team to back to back NCAA tournament appearances. I hold the record for most NBA games played in a season without an assist.

Who’d they play for – I’ll give you a player, you need to list all of the teams that they played for.

  1. Luke Recker played for the Indiana Hoosiers, then transfered to Arizona (where got into a car accident and never ended up playing for them), then transfered again and went to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
  2. Troy Aikman started off his career as an Oklahoma Sooner but then transfered to UCLA.
  3. Tyson Chandler has played for the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Hornets, Charlotte Bobcats, Dallas Mavericks, and New York Knicks.
  4. This is easy as long as you remembered that Favre started his career off with the Atlanta Falcons. He then played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings.
  5. Patrick Ewing is known as a New York Knick but you can’t forget about the second and a half that he played for the Seattle Supersonics and Orlando Magic.
