Thanks to our friends at Smith & Forge Hard Cider we were in the house for the USA vs Australia Rugby match at Soldier Field on Saturday.
Here’s a quick recap video of some of the fun we got into. Scroll down through the pics to see the rest of the story.
G Hunt and I got things kicked off with some arm wrestling, of which was won by yours truly (twice).
Shout out to Danielle for the awesome hookup. We got 50-yard line seats which were out of this world.
Immediately upon entering Soldier Field we met the World’s Greatest Beer Man. This dude hustled like Rick Ross and spit a mad flow.
The crowd at the match was super interesting. Half of them were dressed up in over the top USA or Australia costumes and the other half looked like they were attending a polo match rocking khakis and a collared shirt.
It’s not a USA vs Australia Rugby match at Soldier Field unless someone shows up in an expired Ryan Theriot Cubs jersey.
The Australia rugby fans were passionate to say the least.
There’s never a bad time to wear a Sweetness jersey in Soldier Field.
The marketing of JJ Watt is working.
Loving the USA blazer.
Jim Cornelison in the house to sing the anthem.
At halftime we decided to make some friends who helped us get into the Skybox Suite.
The view was amazing, to say the least.
We made some more friends who hooked us up with media passes so that we could go on the field and take some pics. In the bowels of Solider Field we came across this glamorous NBCSN setup.
Stylin & Profilin on the field.
After we left the field we made some more friends who hooked us up and let us go through the USA Rugby team locker room. The game was ending in a few minutes so we didn’t have a ton of time.
And this is what it all looked like.
Shout out to our new friends who were filling up the ice bath, one of which was a Steelers fan who had a Steelers credit card. My man!
By the time we left the USA Rugby locker room the game was over. As we exited we came across the best USA costume of the day. GRRRRRRR!
Big shout out to our friends at Smith & Forge Hard Cider. We had an absolute blast.
